LunaVoice Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy applies to LunaVoice, a voice transcription and voice inbox application for Apple platforms.

2. What LunaVoice Does

LunaVoice lets you import audio files, including voice notes, recordings, and files shared from apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Voice Memos, Files, or other compatible apps. The app can transcribe audio, generate summaries, extract action items, create suggested replies, and help you search and export your transcripts.

LunaVoice is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to WhatsApp, Meta, Telegram, Apple, or any other third-party service mentioned in the app.

3. Information We Process

Audio Files

When you import an audio file into LunaVoice, the app processes that audio file to generate a transcript. By default, this processing happens on your device where supported.

Transcripts, Summaries, and Action Items

LunaVoice may create text transcripts, summaries, action items, suggested titles, suggested replies, and other text outputs from your imported audio. These items are stored locally on your device unless you choose to export or share them.

Metadata

LunaVoice may store local metadata needed for app functionality, such as file name, source type, duration, language, processing status, creation date, favorite status, and export status.

Settings

LunaVoice may store your app preferences locally, such as default language, privacy mode, delete-after-transcription settings, and export preferences.

4. Data We Do Not Collect by Default

In the default privacy-first configuration, we do not collect, receive, or transmit the following data to our servers:

• Your audio files
• Your voice recordings
• Your transcripts
• Your summaries
• Your action items
• Your suggested replies
• Your contacts
• Your WhatsApp messages
• Your Telegram messages
• Your location
• Your advertising identifier

5. On-Device Processing

LunaVoice is designed to use Apple on-device technologies where available, such as system speech transcription and on-device intelligence features, to process audio and transcript text locally. Availability may depend on your device, operating system version, language, and Apple feature support.

If a feature is not available on your device, LunaVoice may disable that feature or show an availability message. The app should not upload your audio to a server without your explicit action or consent.

6. Cloud Processing

LunaVoice does not use cloud audio transcription by default. If a future version offers optional cloud-based processing, it will be clearly labeled, require your explicit opt-in, and this Privacy Policy will be updated before such processing is enabled.

7. How Your Data Is Stored

LunaVoice stores app data locally in the app sandbox on your device. This may include imported audio files, generated transcripts, summaries, action items, and app settings.

If you enable Apple system features such as iCloud backup, device backup, or other Apple sync services, Apple may process backup or sync data according to Apple’s own privacy policies and your device settings. LunaVoice does not control Apple’s system-level backup behavior.

8. Sharing and Exporting

You may choose to copy, export, or share transcripts, summaries, action items, or suggested replies using system sharing features. When you share content outside LunaVoice, that content may be handled by the destination app, service, or recipient according to their own privacy policies.

LunaVoice does not automatically send replies to WhatsApp, Telegram, Messages, email, or any other communication app. Any sharing or sending action must be initiated by you.

9. WhatsApp and Third-Party App Support

LunaVoice supports user-driven import workflows for audio files, such as Share Sheet, Open With, Files import, drag and drop, and manual file selection. LunaVoice does not access WhatsApp accounts, scrape WhatsApp messages, use WhatsApp private APIs, or bypass WhatsApp platform restrictions.

10. Analytics, Crash Reporting, and Diagnostics

The current privacy-first version of LunaVoice is intended to operate without collecting analytics, advertising data, or user tracking data.

If we add optional analytics or crash reporting in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy, disclose the relevant data practices in App Store Connect, and provide appropriate choices where required. We will not include audio content or transcript content in diagnostic logs.

11. In-App Purchases

If LunaVoice offers paid features, purchases may be processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your full payment card details. Apple may provide us with purchase status or entitlement information needed to unlock app features.

12. Permissions

LunaVoice may request access to files, microphone, speech recognition, local authentication, or other system permissions only when needed for app functionality. You can manage permissions in your device settings.

The microphone permission, if used, is only for user-initiated recording features. The app does not record audio in the background without your action.

13. Data Retention and Deletion

You control the audio files and transcripts stored in LunaVoice. You may delete individual transcripts, delete original audio files after transcription, or clear all app data using in-app settings where available.

Deleting the app from your device may also delete locally stored app data, subject to Apple platform behavior and any backups or sync services you have enabled.

14. Children’s Privacy

LunaVoice is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. Because LunaVoice is designed for local processing by default, we do not knowingly collect children’s personal information on our servers. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

15. International Users

LunaVoice may be used in different countries and regions. Because the default app architecture is local-first, your imported audio and generated transcripts remain on your device unless you choose to export or share them. If future features involve server-side processing, we will update this Privacy Policy with the relevant transfer and processing details.

16. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights related to personal data, such as access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, or restriction. Since LunaVoice primarily stores data locally on your device, many privacy actions can be performed directly inside the app, such as deleting transcripts or clearing all data.

17. Security

We design LunaVoice to reduce privacy risk by processing audio locally where supported and avoiding unnecessary data transmission. However, no app, device, or storage method is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your device, operating system, Apple ID, and backups secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the app or on our website.
